stretchmarksmudgerimg I was going to call this recipe “Stretch Mark Eraser,” but I didn’t want to give anyone false hope :) That said, this is a pretty great recipe, especially when combined with my Scar Away recipe (keep reading!)

Lea’s Stretch Mark Smudger recipe
2.5% dilution

In a 3 ounce bottle (I am using a flip-top squeeze bottle for this recipe, but you can use a different bottle if you’d like) add the following:

  • 20 drops Tangerine Citrus tangerina essential oil
  • 10 drops Frankincense Boswellia carteri essential oil
  • 10 drops Geranium Pelargonium graveolens essential oil
  • 6 drops Helichrysum Helichrusum italicum essential oil
  • 4 drops Neroli Citrus aurantium essential oil
  • 3 ounces Jojoba oil (really a wax!)

Apply daily over problem area(s). It will leave your skin soft and smooth.

As always, if you use this daily for more than 2-3 weeks in a row, please take a break for a week to lessen your chances of sensitization. Alternately, you can use 2-3 times a week long-term.

NOTE: I am using jojoba as a base for this recipe, but you can use this essential oil blend in other carrier oil bases (read about carriers here). I highly recommend using the Whipped Body Butter or Aloe Cream as a base. (You’ll find the Whipped Body Butter and Aloe Cream recipes in Aromahead’s Aromatherapy for Natural Living course.)

The species of the essential oils I used are just what I had on hand. You can use other species if you wish.

If you would like to use this Stretch Mark Smudger with the Scar Away recipe, I suggest using the Stretch Mark Smudger daily and the Scar Away 1-2 times per week for three weeks, then taking a 1-week break. I can’t suggest you use the Stretch Mark Smudger recipe for two weeks, then Scar Away for two weeks because they have similar essential oil, and your body won’t be getting a break.
