This is the same laundry powder I’ve been using for almost 10 years now. It worked wonderfully when my kids were in cloth diapers, and I still use it for clothes
I use my old Tupperware bread keeper, as it’s the perfect size to hold two boxes of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda, and it has a nice flip-top lid. You can use any container you like.
Lea’s Laundry Powder Recipe
1. Add 1 box of washing soda to your container. 2. Add 20 drops Tea Tree essential oil, and 15 drops Lavender essential oil (you can replace this with Lemon or Peppermint or something else you like!). NOTE: If you like to really smell the aroma on your clothes, you can double this amount. 3. Mix well. I do this by closing the lid and shaking well. The oils will clump, so open the box and break them up and shake again, or stir. 4. Add the second box of washing soda, and shake again, mixing well and checking for lumps. Use 1 TBSP Lea’s Laundry Powder per load of laundry, twice that if heavily soiled. |
Yes, this works in front-loading washing machines - that is what I use with great success.
Enjoy!
