Look what I got today!

GreenAir was gracious enough to send me one NebAir to review and one NebAir to give to one of YOU! Keep reading to find out how to enter to win, but first, here are some photos of the NebAir…

See? One for me, one for you :)

One bottle was in the diffuser already, but here is a spare bottle. This allows you to make your own blends and use right away.

Here it is all set up. Notice that you can plug into the wall or right into your computer via USB connector. I have mine plugged into my laptop :) Some cars (although not mine) come with USB outlets, so you can even use this in your car.(if you wan to use one in your car, I suggest the USB diffuser that is sealed and will not spill of tipped over)

To use, you pull down on the black piece where the EO bottle is screwed into and it slides right out. Unscrew the EO bottle and fill, or replace with one of your own bottles (any 10ml or 15ml should fit).

See all the timer options? You can set the timer to ON/30/60/120 seconds. During the time you can adjust how often it comes on (5/10/30/60 seconds) and how long it stays off (5/10/30/60 seconds). Very flexible!

You can’t actually see anything coming out, but if you put your face nearby you can smell the aroma - not to mention you can hear the NebAir run and then shut off so you know it’s working.

What do I think?

I ended up setting mine to 5 seconds on, 120 seconds off. Although the aroma was not over-powering, I wasn’t sure if I was starting to feel woozy or not, so after several minutes I decided to move it farther away (I didn’t want to over-do it).

I’d love to know just how much of a drop actually comes out in those 5 seconds (I will ask GreenAir!). I have had 20 drops of essential oil in the bottle for 2.5 hours now and I can’t even tell if it’s gone down at all yet (at the 5 seconds on/60 seconds off). So don’t worry about going through bottles of essential oil too quickly on this low setting.

Comparing this to other models, the NebAir has more of a mechanical sound, not a fluttering water steam sound. But it’s not obnoxious at all :)

Because there is no water in the diffuser, only pure essential oils come out. You won’t see the water steaming out like on other models, but you can smell the aroma and you know it is working.

What the NebAir can do that other diffusers can not…

Remember, essential oils are very concentrated, and it doesn’t take much to waft out to make an effect. In fact, this makes the NebAir an excellent alternative to a steam inhalation. I almost can’t wait until I feel congested so I can see for myself how effective this really will be ;) And if one of my children feels congested, I can pop in my Anti-Congestion blend and have them inhale right from the diffuser, rather than mess with boiling water. I have to admit, using boiling water around young children makes me a little nervous!

The NebAir would also be great for diffusing near an area with mold. Instead of using a diffuser that shoots more moisture into the air (a no-no for mold), you can use this one that sends out only essential oils.

I also plan on using this to clear the air when someone is sick. Running the NebAir in the bedroom after they wake will help to kill any airborne germs.

How would you use this diffuser? Leave a comment below. Can’t wait to see if you win? You can purchase NebAir on amazon.
