I love books. Real books, made of paper. But as much as I love to hold a book and flip its pages, ebooks can be so darn convenient!

I have downloaded many essential oil-related kindle books over the years. Some aren’t worth the paper they are printed on the digital footprint they take up.

And then there are others, like the ones I’ve listed for you below…I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Please note: if you do not own a kindle, that is OK! You can read these books right on your PC, as I often do. Download the FREE KindleforPC.

This is a book I avoided due to “weight loss” being in the title. I was relieved to find inhalation suggested instead of ingestion. I found the essential oils suggested for relieving stress, insomnia, and fatigue to be right on! At the end of the book are some recipes. Click here to preview this book.

Lots of info packed into this book! In particular the discussion of witch hazel and other carriers. Then a section on essential oils: floral, citrus, bark, mints. Ends with recipes for the body and home. Note: I do not approve of the Lemon EO in water recipe. Click here to preview this book.

I skipped over this book countless times due to the “weight loss” in the title. I wrongly assumed the author would encourage ingestion of a bunch of EOs in the water. Not so! Inhalation was the method of administration for the essential oils suggested. I am so glad I checked! Click here to preview this book.

A collection of recipes for face, hand, foot, hair care. Includes a section for common ailments, and ends with recipes for the home, including insect repellent. Note: I am not comfortable with the Happiness Tea recipe unless honey is also added to the tea Click here to preview this book.

This is a great book. Chapters on supplies to have on hand, recipes for skin care, aches and pains, illness and allergies, mental health, first aid, perfume and cologne, hair care, and personal care. Recipes included: anti-wrinkle formula, athlete’s Foot, various massage recipes, menstrual cramps, strained back, stomach ache, allergies, cough, sore throat, bladder infection, ADHD, warts, and much more. Excellent dilutions and safety throughout. Click here to preview this book.

I love the rule they have, “always apply the ‘less’ is best rule.” The authors also suggest 1-3% dilution as a rule of thumb. Lots of background advice on essential oils, as well as some to avoid. Includes suggestions and recipes for pregnancy and post-birth issues, as well as essential oils and recipes best for a variety of health issues and personal care products. Finally, this book ends with a list of 50 essential oils and their uses. Click here to preview this book.

Carrier oils are “essential” (pun intended) for aromatherapy use, but they are often overlooked in general discussion. This book does a good job of reviewing several carrier oils and what their benefits are in addition to diluting the essential oils. Click here to preview this book.

You will lean 11 important things about essential oils (great safety advice), how to use EOs to improve your mental clarity, for stress relief, cold & flu, and for treating the skin and hair (with recipes!). Click here to preview this book.

This book will show you how to make sugar body scrubs, salt body scrubs, salt- and sugar-free body scrubs (think oatmeal and other foods), and facial masks for various skin types.

I love how this book dives right into the parts of the skin (three layers) and its functions. A nice review on the ingredients to use for body butters and their therapeutic benefits. Several recipes to get you started on your body butter-making journey! Click here to preview this book.

I had to include this one on my list. I mean who doesn’t want to make their own essential oils? The first half of book discusses the history and background of essential oils, how to gather and dry your herbs, and a section devoted to listing what some of the essential oils are good for. The second half of the book they explain how to distill essential oils using a distiller like this one, which part of the herb to use for distillation, how to prepare your own capsules, syrups, tinctures, tonics, and teas from herbs and essential oils. Note: internal use is spoken of in general not frowned upon in this book (which was probably written for the aromatherapy professional). Click here to preview this book.
