I am so excited about these blends! KidSafe blends are the first essential oil blends on the market formulated for children ages 2-10 that follow safe essential oil guidelines.
Robert Tisserand, essential oil expert and author of Essential Oil Safety, among other things (visit his website here), was hired by Plant Therapy as a consultant to formulate these blends.
You will want to consider purchasing some of these blends if:
- you have children aged 10 and younger
- you want to diffuse something for yourself that you want your under-10 kids to also be able to inhale
- you want to apply blends to your body and feel confident they are not going to cause any risks for your under-10 kids when they snuggle with you
KidSafe blends are great for kids and parents of kids!
Note: the KidSafe on this page go directly to Plant Therapy’s website. These are not affiliate links, but “prettylinks” so the url’s are short and sweet and not full of lots of letters and numbers. It also tells me how often the links were clicked on. Plant Therapy does not have an affiliate program, and I receive no compensation if you click through these links - I have them here for your convenience only
Now let’s take a peek at the five blends I was sent to review and use on my kids (ages 10 and 6) in exchange for an honest review…
Tame the Pain
I chose this blend because both of my children occasionally complain that their ankles, knees, or legs hurt after playing hard (or in conjunction with growing pains). This blend has been successful for both of my children when used as described. My kids like this aroma!
Best for inflammation and bone pain. Dilute to 3-5%.
Essential oils in this blend: Citronella, Rosalina, Palmarosa, Black Pepper, Lavender Fir Needle, Geranium Bourbon, and Geranium Egyptian.
You can find this blend on the Plant Therapy website: Tame the Pain. Also available as a pre-diluted roll on.
Growing Pains
This is another great blend that I have used with success on my children (ages 10 and 6), who are at that stage in childhood where they suffer from growing pains more than once a week. My daughter doesn’t like this aroma as much as Tame the Pain, but it’s better when mixed together with Tame the Pain.
Best for muscular pain. Dilute to 2-4%.
Essential oils in this blend: Juniper Berry, Rosalina, Spruce, Turmeric, and Blue Tansy.
You can find this blend on the Plant Therapy website: Growing Pains. Also available as a pre-diluted roll on.
Sneezy Stop
Sometimes my kids have “itchy eyes” when they lay down to sleep. My daughter hasn’t suffered from this since I’ve received the blend, but my son has several times, and diffusing this in the bedroom near him has helped a lot. It’s relaxing, and it smells great, too! A winner.
Best diffused in a diffuser or inhaled from the bottle or via a personal inhaler. (You can read my diffuser reviews here, and I list the inhalers I use and love here.)
Essential oils in this blend: Rosalina, Fir Needle, Lavender, Geranium Egypt, Blue Tansy, and Rose Absolute.
You can find this blend on the Plant Therapy website: Sneezy Stop. Also available as a pre-diluted roll on.
Go Go Go
Sometimes kids are just lazy - or maybe it’s just mine. When it’s time for chores, they suddenly have no energy, right? I have diffused this a few times during chore time and it did seem to help. I will certainly keep using it. I actually feel more energy myself when I diffuse this blend. A keeper!
Best diffused in a diffuser or inhaled from the bottle or via a personal inhaler. (You can read my diffuser reviews here, and I list the inhalers I use and love here.)
Essential oils in this blend: Tangerine, Cedarwood Atlas, Petitgrain, Palmarosa, Citronella, Ginger, Basil linalool, and Sandalwood.
You can find this blend on the Plant Therapy website: Go Go Go. Also available as a pre-diluted roll on.
A+ Attention
Can I just say how much I love this blend? I homeschool my children, and sometimes getting them to focus is a challenge. Running A+ Attention in the diffuser during school time really seems to be helping. I can’t wait to see the long-tern results from using this blend!p.s. also formulated for children with ADHD.
Best diffused in a diffuser or inhaled from the bottle or via a personal inhaler. (You can read my diffuser reviews here, and I list the inhalers I use and love here.) Can also be diluted to 2-4% and applied to your child’s chest, back of neck, and/or wrist.
Essential oils in this blend: Petitgrain, Cedarwood Atlas, Grapefruit, Lavender, and Vetiver.
You can find this blend on the Plant Therapy website: A+ Attention. Also available as a pre-diluted roll on.

I would love to try Tame the Pain. I have A+ Attention and Sneezy Stop and LOVE them. My 10 year old son with Asperger’s has been complaining of growing pains, and I would like to try this for him (since Lea’s daughter didn’t care for the smell of Growing Pains EO blend)
I have an 8 yr old son with Down syndrome and autism. I have just gotten started with essential oils and am anxious to try them all! I’d most like to try Sneezy stop because he catches every cold that goes through school and A+ Attention so he can focus better at school.
I need the A+ Attention in this house!

I would like to try A + Attention the most. My eldest daughter has a hard time paying attention to us, her homework, her chores- pretty much everything unless it’s something she’s chooses to do herself. This would be a great help!
